Washington Real Estate License
To receive your real estate license you must be 18 years of age or older and complete 60 hours in course fundamentals.
An actively licensed salesperson is required to complete 30 clock hours of approved real estate education to renew the license. 3 clock hours of which must be the core course specifically titled, Current Issues in Washington Residential Real Estate. If you are a salesperson actively renewing for the first time, you must also complete a 30 clock-hour post licensing course specifically titled, Real Estate Practices, for a total of 60 clock hours. Renewed licenses will be sent to the address on file within 14 business days. You have one year from the expiration date of your license to pay your renewal and penalty fee or your license will be canceled. Each licensee is responsible for renewing their license on time. Please be aware of the expiration date on your license, as you are also considered unlicensed during the expiration period.
The examination fee for the state exam is $138.25 and must be paid at the time of reservation by credit card, debit card, voucher or electronic check.. Examination fees are non-refundable and non-transferable except as detailed in the State Exam Attendance Requirements section. For the first active renewal you will need 30 clock hours in practices course plus 30 clock hour of continuing education including 3 hours in core curriculum.
