South Dakota Real Estate Broker License
To receive your broker associate license in South Dakota you must complete 60 hrs. of Course I (Principles & Practices of Real Estate) and 40 hrs. of Course II (Broker-level) and score a 75% or higher on the state exam.
If you want to become a responsible broker you must complete 60 hrs. of Course I (Principles & Practices of Real Estate), 40 hrs. of Course II (Broker-level), 15 hrs. of Broker Course III, have 2 years of active status and pass the state exam with a core of 75%or higher.
Licensing exams for real estate brokers and broker associates are available in Rapid City and Sioux Falls via computer. These candidates need to register with the testing service by the registration deadline listed in Applied Measurement Professionals' (AMP) Candidate Handbook. The test center in Sioux Falls is located in the H & R Block office at 3308 South Minnesota Avenue. The test center in Rapid City is located in the H & R Block office at 1819 West Main.
