Pennsylvania Salesperson License
To receive your Pennsylvania real estate license you must be 18 years of age or older and have successfully completed 60 hours in real estate approved by the commission of Pennsylvania. When you take the final exam from the state you must have a passing score of 70% or higher.
Broker License
To become a broker in the state of Pennsylvania you need to be 21 years of age or higher and be a high school graduate. You need to successfully complete 240 hours in real estate courses approved by the commission. You must receive a passing score of 70% or higher when you take the final state exam.
Continuing Education
Every 2 years you’ll need to complete 14 hours of courses approved by the commission.
You are required to complete 30 clock hours of continuing education to renew your license on active status. You can renew your license for up to one year after your license expiration date. If you wait more than one year, you will have lost all rights to the license. The one year deadline is firm. We strongly recommend not waiting until the last minute.
If you renew your license after its expiration date, you will need to pay a $30 late fee in addition to your regular renewal fee. Oregon has licensing agreements with Alabama, Alberta, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming. If you hold a resident real estate license from one of these jurisdictions, contact our office for information about obtaining an Oregon license. Oregon has no residency requirement for real estate licensing. You do not need to live in Oregon to be licensed here. However, to have an active license, you must have an office in Oregon.
