Real Estate Salesperson
In order to start your real estate career and become a salesperson in Idaho you must be 18 years of age. You must complete 45 hours of module 1 and 45 hours of module 2 training or provide proof of a law degree within the 5 years proceeding the date of application from an accredited law school.
In order to become a real estate broker in Idaho you must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED. You’ll need to be a current real estate salesperson for 2 full years before becoming a broker. As a broker you’ll need to complete a pre-license course as you did when you were a salesperson. Contact your local school or state commission office for details. You’ll need a total of 90 hours of classroom or online schooling for your license. For continuing education you need to complete 12 hours every 2 years. License fees run $150 per year. Idaho has reciprocity with Wyoming, Oregon and Montana.
