To apply for a Delaware Resident Salesperson's License
You’ll need to complete a 99 hour pre-license course that is accredited by the Delaware Real Estate Commission and pass the two-part standardized salesperson licensing examination. Following completion of the course, one is eligible to sit a maximum of three times for the two part standardized licensing examination administered by a testing center. Submit the original application distributed by the testing service upon successful completion of the examination to the Commission within one year of the completion of the pre-licensing course. Submit an affidavit that the applicant has not engaged in any acts or offenses that would be grounds for discipline pursuant to 24 Del. C., Chapter 29 ' 2907(a)(4).
To apply for a Resident Broker License
Practice real estate as a licensee for a continuous period of 5 years and have accrued at least 30 qualified sales transactions. Complete a 99 hour brokers courses accredited by the Delaware Real Estate commission. Pass the 2 part standardized broker licensing examination.
Renew your Delaware Real Estate License
In Delaware real estate licenses are renewed biennially. Resident licenses expire on April 30 of the even year. All nonresident licenses expire on April 30 of the odd year. The continuing education requirement to renew a license is 15 credit hours in courses pre-approved by the Delaware Real Estate Commission. Each licensee must complete six mandatory credits: a salesperson licensee must complete the three 3 hour required Real Estate Concepts Course, 3 hour course on legislative issues, a broker licensee must complete a required 6 hour broker course.
